More Done!

Well, we booked our photographer. For those of you keen to check out her (their) work, this is their site. Now Martha recommends that you interview at least three photographers before picking one, but I think you can do a lot on the web these days. I pored through dozens of sites and got a good idea of prices and services offered. I think we did well on this one, particularly as pictures are very important to me. We are getting two photographers instead of a photographer and assistant. We'll be getting a great mix of black and white pictures as well. I also violated Martha's advice on another front as she recommends going digital. However, I wanted to keep the negatives. After all, who knows when CD-ROMs are going to become obselete? With this photographer I get the best of both worlds as I can keep the negatives and get everything on disk to share with friends and families.

As to other things, I am already rethinking our wedding colours. At first I was thinking we should be all white and green and very simple, sort of like this bride here.

But then I remembered that the room where the reception will likely be is yellow. I think anyway, as we haven't figured out what will be where exactly. But that got me thinking, maybe I should just go pink or go home? But I still kind of want to keep the green.

Hil!!! White and green are my colours! Great minds think alike!!! So, a Mey wedding? Very exciting. I am getting married in 2.5 weeks...CRAZY!!!!

Go yellow, go pink or go green, but please don't go home.

Hmmmm. Colours... Well, I honestly think that both choices are great. My sister went for brightly coloured flowers and they really looked great in the photos. I guess it depends if you want to go 'classic' or 'bright/fun' both are great. Of course, if you are doing mostly B&W for the pictures then colours would be less important from a photography point of view. I kinda dig the bright colours bc it brightens up a room and you can pick some unique flowers that you don't see everyday. I know that whatever you pick it will be lovely bc you always have great style Hil!.... that's my 2 cents....

Hi Hilary,

Lovely photography actually with such interesting shots shown on their website; I think you picked a winner! White and green is lovely 'cause everyone is going with the bold oranges right now and you seem to be one a kind to me...

Stay with the green and white. I love it, so elegant. And get rid of the picture that makes me look bald. And here I thought my hair looked so great that night!

Just kidding,

Mum
